I like this book because it’s a photographers book; it’s a collection of random photographs from various departments and done for registration events, with no aesthetic reason. The work has a sense of a world gone mad without any real conclusions, however you go along with it and create your own interpretations.

Asger Carlsen is an artist based in NYC who has published through Morel Books, Wrong (2010) and Hester (2012), and has exhibited widely. Carlsen’s black-and-white photographs create an uncanny vision of the grotesque.
