Instagram Takeover – Honey Long & Prue Stent

A headless torso poses seductively in a pearlescent pool.

Honey Long and Prue Stent’s practice is a merging of photographic and sculptural disciplines. Grounded in experimentation between bodies, materials and environments, their work presents a pervasive desire to entangle and play with these lines of enquiry – seeking a greater sense of connection to them. Through foraging and chance encounters, they reconfigure debris to create a fluid, dream world that plays on the subconscious.

Honey & Prue have been working together since 2010 and are currently based in Melbourne and are represented by ARC ONE Gallery. Solo exhibitions have taken place at Arc One Gallery, Melbourne (2018), PhotoEspana, Madrid (2018) and Nicola Von Senger, Zurich (2018). Notable group shows they have been in include Eyes on Australia, Pingyao International Photography Festival, China (2019), In Her Words, Horsham Regional Gallery, Melbourne (2019) and Future Feminine, Fahey / Klein Gallery, Los Angeles (2018).

Honey & Prue are taking over @paperjournalmag from today until the 23 December. You can follow them @prue_stent and @honeylong.
