Max Miechowski is a documentary photographer whose work, which is centred around portraiture, explores themes of community and urban culture. His interest in how these themes influence our individual sense of identity, both on a local and global scale, has inspired him to engage with and photograph the communities directly around him, resulting in an intimate and self reflective practise.
His portraiture has been exhibited in the National Portrait Gallery, and has been featured in a variety of both online and print publications, such as the British Journal of Photography and It’s Nice That. Originally from Lincoln, he now lives in London where the majority of his photographic work is made.
Miechowski is taking over @paperjournalmag from today until the 23rd of September. You can follow him @maxmiechowski and see more of his work at www.maxmiechowski.com.
