Zindzi Zwietering – Bron

Mountains without snow, rain-pipes filled with flowers, wide and withered yellow grassy plains and empty swimming pools. Cape Town, like many other major areas around the world, struggles with an enormous drought.

Bron is a visual story on the distance between humans and nature within city life. The story takes place in one of the first places in the world where the consequences of climate change are directly tangible: Cape Town. Zindzi Zwietering decided to set out and research this phenomenon with her camera which resulted in often estranging photographs.

We cannot live without the earth, but the earth will have no problems without us
