Juan Hein
Visual artist, photography and video based, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Living and working from Copenhagen, Denmark, since 2006. After working as an editorial photographer for many years (Rolling Stone magazine), Hein turn his work into a conceptual line, reflecting on the uses of the visual languages, emphasizing on the crossroads of genres and functions and bringing up works as conceptual hybrids. Hein has exhibited his work in Argentina, Denmark, Chile, Brazil, Italy and Croatia. Author of the film The Killing of a Danish Swan (22 min.) and the artist photo book This Is Not a Photograph, just published the photobook Clouds and Bombs with the Danish publisher Disko Bay. He is also the father of Astor and Vera.
