Shirley Amartey
Shirley Amartey is a Stylist and Fashion Editor of Paper Journal. She began her career working for i-D magazine and then quickly moved on to assist a number of stylists including Charlotte Stockdale, Patti Wilson and Jane How. Since then she has gone on to work as a stylist in her own right, working with photographers such as Lonny Spence, Dexter Lander, Nik Hartley, Jeff Hahn and Nicole Maria Winkler. Having also worked for Russell Marsh and Shelly Durkan, casting has become an important part of her work, often street-casting subjects for projects. Shirley’s work has appeared in i-D, Wonderland, Rollacoaster, Metal and Varon magazines.
