Continu-um is a collaborative photographic project between Alex Catt and Lola Thomas which started in 2016 during an 11 month overland journey from England to Morocco, and back again. Since the initial trip, titled Chapter 1, they have added Chapter 2, comprising work produced while travelling between September 2018 and February 2019. Their series of Interludes The website acts as an online sketchbook for the pair, who upload monthly curated collections of photographs from the road. They are currently living in the New Forest of England.
Lola Thomas graduated from the Arts University Bournemouth in 2015 and has exhibited at the Towner Gallery, DOOMED, and the Old Truman Brewery. Alex Catt‘s Lost, in circles we wander, a collection of images ‘formed from an insatiable desire for exploration and questioning’, was published by Tide Press in 2017. The pair have both had their work featured previously on Paper Journal. In 2013 Catt interviewed Sam A. Harris, while Thomas’ Another Place, and Here was featured in 2015.
Alex Catt and Lola Thomas are taking over @paperjournalmag from today until the 16th of December. You can follow them @lolascott93, @alexcattphoto, and @continu__um, and see more of their work at continu-um.co.uk.
