We first featured David Rothenberg’s work back in 2019, a series of candid photographs of commuters and loiterers passing through New York’s Roosevelt Station. Now he’s back to share more of his scrutinous street photography on the Paper Journal Instagram.
Rothenberg is a photographer and educator based in Queens, New York. His work has been exhibited at the Aperture Foundation Gallery and is in the permanent collection of the Museum of the City of New York. TIME Magazine named Landing Lights Park, one of the “Best Photobooks of 2018.” He is the recipient of the 2019 Peter S. Reed Foundation grant for photography. Rothenberg’s photographs have been published in The New York Times, Hyperallergic, Libération and on The New Yorker’s Instagram account. He holds an MFA from Bard College and a BFA from Parsons School of Design.
