Tom Johnson is a photographer originally from the countryside of Oxfordshire, England, and now lives and works in London. His dreamy portraiture work blurs the line between real-life, fashion, and fiction, and has been used in campaigns for clients such as APC, Churches, Hermes, Isabel Maretns, Nike, Sandro, and had his work featured in publications including Dazed, M Le Monde, The Plant, Holiday Magazine, and the New York Times Style Magazine.
He’s starting his takeover off with photographs from his series The Evans Girls. The series, made in 2016, features sisters Evie and Kyra, from the Welsh town of Merthyr Tydfil, styled by fellow photographer Charlotte James, and shot around their house and in the hills surrounding Merthyr. Later in the week, he’ll be sharing pictures from his trip to Jerusalem and his time documenting young motorbike racers.
Tom Johnson is taking over @paperjournalmag from today until the 9th of November. You can follow him @tomjohnsonstudio and see more of his work at tomjohnson.studio.
