Gilleam Trapenberg
Gilleam Trapenberg (b. 1991) received his bachelor's degree in photography from the Royal Academy of Art. Born and raised in Curacao his fascinations with themes such as status, representation and image culture have long played an integral part in his work as these are relevant themes in the social landscape of the Caribbean. His work has been published in W magazine, i-D magazine, and It's Nice That, among others. Exhibitions of his work have taken place at La Cite, Paris; UNFAIR, Amsterdam; and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. He currently lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
